Kings Park DRI Local Planning Committee Meeting
Downtown Revitalization Initiative Local Planning Committee meeting on June 13 @ 6-8PM; Call for Projects Now Open through July 19
Kings Park will hold its second Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) Local Planning Committee (LPC) working meeting from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, June 13 at Kings Park High School, Room 101, located at 200 Rte 25A, Kings Park, NY 11754. All Local Planning Committee (LPC) meetings are working group sessions for committee members. While these meetings are open to the public, they are not intended to be interactive public workshops. At the end of each LPC meeting, there will be a public comment period (approximately ten minutes). In January 2024, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that Kings Park was the winner of $10 million in Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) funding. The DRI works to transform downtown neighborhoods into vibrant communities. There are many ways you can be actively involved in your community’s DRI process including upcoming community meetings.
In addition, the DRI Open Call for Projects is now active and available online atwww.kingsparkdri.com/projects. We are seeking submissions from the public for potential projects to be a part of the Kings Park DRI Strategic Investment Plan. We will be accepting project proposals through Friday July 19, 2024, at 5pm. A series of info sessions and office hours will be held through the month of June. Please consult the dates listed below for more information.

The following is a series of dates and deadlines that are pertinent to the Kings Park DRI and the DRI process. Feel free to calendar these dates to stay up to date and informed.
LocalPlanningCommittee Meeting #2 - on Thurs. June 13, 2024 @ 6PM

- At the Local Planning Committee (LPC) Meeting, the LPC will provide input on the DRI vision, goals, and potential projects.
- Local Planning Committee (LPC) meetings are working group sessions for committee members. While these meetings are open to the public, they are not intended to be interactive public workshops.
DRI Open Call for Projects - Accepting Project Applications - due by Friday, July 19, 2024 @5PM
- The DRI Local Planning Committee (LPC) is seeking project proposals from the public for potential projects to be a part of the Kings Park DRI Strategic Investment Plan.
- If you have a project you would like to see considered, an “Open Call for Projects” submission form is available on the DRI website at:www.kingsparkdri.com
- Please submit your forms by July 19th. Late submissions may only be accepted at the discretion of the Local Planning Committee.
