"So grateful for all of the beautiful eternal sunshine memories so far and for all that is to come," the musician wrote on Instagram
Ariana Grande has opened her vault of studio footage to commemorate four months since the release of Eternal Sunshine, her seventh studio album and first full-length studio release in four years. The musician celebrated with an Instagram video going behind the scenes of the record’s creation, including how she crafted the chorus melody for the deep cut “Supernatural.”
“Wanted to share a few more of my favorite eternal sunshine studio memories. these make me so happy. i cannot believe how much has happened already or that it has already been (and only been) four months,” Grande wrote in the caption. “So grateful for all of the beautiful eternal sunshine memories so far and for all that is to come! love you all so.”
The montage of footage features appearances from producer Max Martin, who co-produced eleven of the thirteen tracks on Eternal Sunshine with Grande, as well as Ilya Salmanzadeh and Oscar Görres.
In the four months since Eternal Sunshine arrived, Grande has expanded on the record — which received a five-star instant classic rating from Rolling Stone — with a remix of “Supernatural” featuring Troye Sivan, an emotionally harrowing music video for “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” and a remix of “The Boy Is Mine” with Brandy and Monica that followed the release of a music video for the original starring Penn Badgley.
“I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Grande wrote on Instagram when Eternal Sunshine debuted at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100, her sixth album to reach the top position. “It’s impossible to put into words what I’ve been feeling this week. This album is most special to me for many reasons and just holds so much.”
She added: “Sharing it has re-opened a lot of little and big feelings alike and it has been an emotional week in many ways. But your overwhelmingly loving response to it all has made me feel such joyful, human connection and comfort. Just wanted to say I love and appreciate you all more than one can say.”Trending
